Where there is Dirt, We Will Grow

If it was up to the Discovery Lab, our school grounds would be covered in crops and flowers.   Besides helping with the Three Sisters Project in the Thorp Community Garden behind school, Hanni got permission for us to take over some neglected planters by the entrance.  Today we cleared debris, planted starts and a plethora of seeds in the two planters.  Thank you to Hanni and Louie for their donation of garden shovels, seeds and starts.  We are trying peas, chard, lettuce, spinach, carrots, violets and sage.

Louie asked Boden to dig her a hole while she cradled the roots of the sage plant.
